Literacy All-Star Game 2014

Our major fundraiser is our annual all-star game.  The proceeds from the all-star game are used to supplement the cost of our Summer Read-To-Achieve Program.  In January and during the month of May of each year, we invite the top senior high school football players from over 40 high schools in California and Arizona to participate in our annual literacy classic all-star game.  This is an opportunity for athletes to play against other top ranked players from surrounding areas, showcasing their talent and ability to be evaluated one last time by college coaches.

If not for the literacy classic all-star game, these athletes may not have the opportunity to be further evaluated by college coaches.  In addition to excelling athletically all players hoping to participate in the literacy classic all-star game must have a grade point average of 2.2 or higher.  This requirement is the same as Division 2 College football teams.

Participants are provided with a game jersey, commemorative T-shirt, beanie and game DVD.
